We offer basic ski and snowboard rentals as well as premium ski and
snowboard rentals. Rentals available as package or individual items, including helmets.

Ski packages include skis, bindings, boots, and poles

Snowboard packages include snowboard, bindings, and boots.

Items are available a la carte, though some items have conditions.

SKI BOOTS You can rent ski boots only but your skis’ bindings have to pass a binding test first. The binding test will take 20 minutes on top of the rental process and the total cost the same as a basic rental package.

SKIS You can rent skis only but the boots you bring with you must first be inspected to ensure your boots are in good condition and they are compatible with the rental ski bindings.

No, helmets are not included in ski & snowboard packages, but can be rented separately.

No we do not. Both the White Salmon and Heather Meadows base areas have retail shops where these items are available for purchase

You need to bring a photo ID, the license plate number of the vehicle you drive to the ski area in, and a signed rental form. The rental release agreement should be filled out in advance or at the ski area. In addition, you need to bring all of your own outerwear which includes but is not limited to a jacket, pants, hat, gloves, socks, and any other accessories.

MINORS need to have a Parent/Guardian present OR have completed MINOR Rental Release Agreement that is signed by a parent or legal guardian.

All Renters will need to be COVID-19 symptom free each day.
All Renters will need to wear face coverings at all times in rental shop, as well as in all indoor locations at the ski area.

We accept US currency, Canadian Currency, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Debit, and Mt. Baker Gift Cards. We DO NOT accept American Express.

Please note: There are no ATM machines at Mt. Baker Ski Area.

Lessons are available by reservation, with limited walk-in availability. Lessons should be purchased before visiting the rental shop. To learn more about our lessons and lesson rental packages please visit our Daily Lessons page

Only at Heather Meadows Rental Shop.

At White Salmon, lift tickets must be purchased separately at the ticket window. Please consider doing this prior to renting.

Rental reservations are available via our webstore for weekends and holidays only at this time. Rental reservations are only available for rentals our of our Heather Meadows Base Area at this time.

Please note that walk-in reservations are available we have plenty of rental equipment to accommodate both reservations and walk-ins.

No, rental equipment can only be rented for the day it is being used and is rented out on a first come first served basis. Rental equipment must be returned before the end of rental hours each day.

Yes, you can pay and rent for multiple days if you would like. Multi day rentals are available in person only. There is no discount for multi day and no refund if you don’t use the gear. Multi day rentals are due back by 3:30pm on the last day of the rental.

The best way to speed up your rental process is to be as prepared as possible by completing a rental reservation online before coming to the mountian.

If you choose to do walk-in reservations, you can complete our rental agreement prior to arriving at the mountian. Purchase your lift ticket/lesson package and be dressed for the slopes prior to renting.

If you plan on renting at Mt. Baker more than once, take a note of your rental info so you can use this info again the next time. (A snapshot on your smartphone of your completed rental form once your rental technician completed it works well)

Yes, with a military ID we offer discounts for active duty and their dependents.

A basic rental is the best beginner to intermediate option at $46.30/day (base price) for an adult package. The basic equipment is a standard Elan or Nordica ski or a standard Burton snowboard.

The premium rental is the best intermediate to advanced option at $55.56/day (base price) for an adult package. We have current models from the best brands selected for the conditions and terrain here at Baker. Try out as many as you like per day!

No, we only have basic boots.

Premium rentals are available out of both our White Salmon & Heather Meadows Base Area rental shops.

BASIC SKI Rentals range from 70cm to 175cm.

PREMIUM SKI Rentals range from 138cm-191cm.

BASIC SNOWBOARD Rentals range from 80cm to 164cm.

PREMIUM SNOWBOARD Rentals range from 139cm to 170cm.

We have ski boot sizes from a children’s 8 to an adult 16.

We have snowboard boot sizes from a children’s 1 to an adult 14.

Our helmets range from 52cm to 62.5cm.

No. The closest ATM is 30 minutes away at Graham’s Store in Glacier, on the way to Mt Baker.

No, we do not allow tubing or sledding within the ski area boundaries.
