Tips for preparing to purchase a pass

All of our season pass sales are online, so we have some tips to help you get prepared.

#1: PAYMENT & PAYMENT METHOD

Payment Method: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or Mt. Baker Gift Card Only. Cash, checks and Interact cards not accepted for online season pass purchases.

Payment: Be sure that whatever payment you are using has no restrictions, holds or limits that would delay or stop your payment. Also, be sure that you have the correct amount of funds available for that payment method.

Billing Address: You must enter your billing address exactly as it is recorded with your bank.

#2: TIMING YOUR PURCHASE for the Open Purchase Window

Please Note: The Online Store may not be accessible at any point between October 1st until the start of the Waiting Room on Saturday, October 5th.

– Before 6:00am PST on Saturday October 5th: Do not attempt to access the store before 6am as you will NOT be placed in the Waiting Room or Queue, and you will not be able to purchase a season pass.

– Between 6:00am-7:00am PST on Saturday October 5th: The “Waiting Room” for the online store is open. Customers in the “Waiting Room” between 6:00am-7:00am will be randomly assigned a place in the “Queue” line at 7:00am, and from the “Queue” they will be incrementally released into the online store to purchase their pass(es).
– At 7:00am PST on Saturday October 5th: The Open Window Season Pass sale begins and “Queue” starts. The sale ends when the Open Windows Season Pass CAP is met.

  • Customers accessing the online store after 7:00am will be placed at the end of the “Queue”, line, in chronological order.
  • “Queue” wait times may vary; it could take minutes or it could take hours.
  • If your Queue wait time fluctuates significantly, this is our staff adjusting the intake flow of the online store and does NOT affect your place in line.
  • Be prepared! Once you enter the store, you will have 15 minutes to complete your pass purchase.

#3: YOUR MT. BAKER ONLINE STORE ACCOUNT

The Online Store may not be accessible at any point between October 1st until the start of the Open Window Waiting Room on Saturday, October 5th.

NOTE: You ONLY need to create an account for you – the person who will be purchasing the pass(es). You do NOT need to make separate accounts for anyone else you are purchasing a pass for. If you do make separate accounts, you will have to purchase each pass separately under the respective account(s), or you will receive duplicate email address errors during the purchase process.

Option A: You already have an account: Go to the Mt. Baker online store and login to make sure you have your correct account e-mail address and password BEFORE OCTOBER 1st. If you have any problems, visit our Error Troubleshooting page for help.

Option B: Create a new account in advance Go to the Mt. Baker online store and create your account BEFORE OCTOBER 1st. Save your account e-mail address and password so you are ready to login when it’s time to purchase your pass! If you receive an error message saying you already have an account, please follow the forgot password steps.

Option C: Create a new account during the purchase process: If you do not have an existing account, you will be prompted to create an account during the purchase process. Be aware that if you are given access to the store, there will be a 15-minute window to select pass(es), fill your information (create new account) and complete the pass(es) purchase. It is advisable to create an account in advance to streamline your purchase process.

#4: PASSHOLDER INFORMATION

You will need to have all the following information for each passholder you will be purchasing a pass for:
– First and Last Name
– Birthdate
– Phone number
– Current address
– Height
– Emergency contact name and phone #
– Email address
Every passholder must have a unique email address – you cannot use the same email address for multiple people, or use an email address already associated with another guest account. If you are purchasing a pass for a guest who already has an account and you are receiving a duplicate email address error, you may type the prefix “t-” to the front of the email address and bypass the error.

Minor passholders (ages 17 & under) will NOT need to have an email address entered.

#5: PASSHOLDER PHOTO

Option A: Passholder had a Baker pass within the last 3 years
If the passholder had a photo taken in the last three years, we can reuse it.

Option B: Passholder is new or hasn’t had a pass in 3 years
You will need to upload a photo. Have the photo ready and accessible on your desktop or device.
If you are uploading or capturing a photo, keep in mind that uploading a photo that does not meet criteria will slow down the pass-making process and take you longer to get your pass! Think passport photo but you can smile. No hats, wigs, costumes, crazy faces or anything obscuring your face. Crop photo to a square shape, close to face.

#6: DEVICE & BROWSER

DEVICE: It is recommended to purchase from a computer and not a mobile device when possible.
BROWSER: Google Chrome is the preferred web browser.

We do not recommend using private browsing or pop-up blockers.
